And forget about accurate stats being kept, duplicates really confuse the game in that regard, but the score at least will be kept correctly. Duplicates will also share one juice/stamina bar, so it will decrease/increase quicker. Most annoying is that if one or more duplicates are on base, and a duplicate is batting and hits a ball that is caught for an out, all the duplicate baserunners will count as out too, giving the cpu a double/triple play and a powerup hit. I should also make sure that you know that there are some negative aspects to duplicating players in your lineup. A quick fix for that would be to just copy the first 9 pairs to use to replace the 9 'LP's at the end. That roster0= code you posted looks like a cpu team with generic player 'LP' (Victoria Shamberg) duplicated in each batting spot. The code for a custom player is always QI, so that is the value you would duplicate. After finding the right line to edit, only duplicate in the last 9 pairs to set the batting lineup - doing so for the first 9 (fielding positions) will crash the game. So for example if it says DIVISION=3, then the roster3 line is the one for your team. That number indicates which roster is for your team. In the coach file look for the number by the line that says DIVISION=. Download Backyard Baseball We might have the game available for more than one platform. It was first released in October 1997 for Macintosh and Microsoft Windows. Make sure you are actually editing your team's roster line. Backyard Baseball is a series of baseball video games for children which was developed by Humongous Entertainment and published by Atari. It seems like you are on the right track. If anyone else has looked into this stuff before- I know Yurya had started doing some research into it - and has findings to share, please do! There are still aspects of this game that are waiting to be discovered. After a lot of testing and trial and error I ended up finding out some interesting things about the game, such as some of the "hidden" ratings, the true scale of the rating system, and the ability to modify custom players in ways not available inside the game - and to a ridiculously overpowered level! So here is my guide on how you can turn your custom players into sluggers that hit 700 ft.+ homers, have blazing speed, infinite stamina, and a railgun for an arm, plus some other neat stuff: In an effort to learn more about the game, I decided to take the challenge on almost a year ago. I have seen the awesome save state hacking guide get mentioned here from time to time, but I had not yet seen anyone delve into the custom player section located within the coach files of Backyard Baseball 20.
