![]() Some maps end up with 80% of the players sniping, so it becomes boring fast. Can't host games, so you can't keep team killing A$$holes from joining your game. Plus, it is only respawn, so people just run in guns a blazin' without using tactics because they know they will come back to life in about 15 seconds. PC hosts up to 150 players at a time, PS2 only handles 24 (SOCOM3 & Delta Force: Black Hawk Down each can handle 32, so why can't BF2? You can find reviews in game magazines and websites that focus on the single player campaign, but almost no info about the important online play. Unfortunately, it's not as good as the PC version (most games ported from the PC to a console aren't). I played Battlefield 2 on the PC at my friends house, and it was AWESOME! I was hoping that BF2:MC would be almost as good for the PS2. This review is for the Playstaion 2 version only, so I can't comment about how it is on the XBox. Players can choose to fight for the United States, the Chinese, or the "Middle East Coalition," and through repeated victories and outstanding achievement in the field, they'll work their way up the ranks, all the way from Private to General. As in the PC sequel on which the console versions are based, the game's fictional war is set in the modern era, so players have access to cutting-edge military equipment, including more than 70 types of weapons and 30 different vehicles to move them across land, air, and sea. Battlefield 2 also features a single-player mode, which fills the levels with artificially intelligent 'bots, both enemy and friendly. Headset-equipped virtual warriors can communicate in real-time, as they blast away at the enemy.
